Hi Raymond,

Unfortunately, I do not know of a scanner that transfers to an excel sheet. Most scanner systems avoid the use of excel as it is prone to problems and data tampering. In our inventory company, we use Greyeye Technologies Scanning Systems which you will find details of here: http://www.stocktaking.ie/stocktaking_ireland/stocktaking_software.htm

At the end of the night, each bottle is counted in tenths of a bottle. A full weekly inventory with weighing scales is used for a final inventory result, but the bar finds the tenths system works for them quite well.

How are the spirits and opened bottles measured quickly and accurately ?

"Each bar is inventoried separately at the end of each night. This takes ten minutes per bar and identifies losses on the spot."
